The SIUC Aviation Ambassadors is a small group of inspiring young men and women whose job is to introduce and educate prospective students of SIUC’s Aviation Program. The Ambassadors conduct tours of the Southern Illinois Airport (SIA) where SIUC’s Aviation Flight Program holds most of its classes. On average, we host 3 career days during the school year, American Airlines Career day typically in the Fall followed by United Airlines Career day and General Aviation/Corporate Aviation Career day, both of which are typically held in the Spring.
This small group also travels to different airshows and fly-ins to represent the Aviation Program and gain a knowledge of the aviation industry, such events include trips to EAA AirVenture in Oshkosh, WI, and Rockford AirFest in Rockford, IL. The group also participates in a number of different after school activities accompanying the other RSOs of SIUC.
